Strange how a rest day can make running feel great. I forced myself to take the day off yesterday- no elliptical, no core work, no running, no walking. I had a truckload of homework to catch up on so that did help a bit.
I'm excited to say that I felt like a hundred bucks out there running this morning. I spent time watching the clouds, admiring the lake as I ran by and watching the geese play in the vacant Ford parking lot as opposed to how I've felt lately- cursing the clouds for not covering the sun, damning the lake for not being closer to my house and hating the geese for being able to waddle their big asses around a vacant parking lot instead of running like me.
The first 4 miles were great, sun at my back and 42 degrees. I was kinda dreading the return portion, full sun in my face but I figured that was better than rain. Then the clouds started rolling in and the winds picked up about 15mph. Put my gloves BACK on and headed home. I kinda petered out at the pool hill about a .5 mile from the house but that damn hill gets me nearly every time:)
Tomorrow is another running day and lunch with Liesl before she has the nerve to leave me for almost a week...*sigh*
